How do I transfer my Blackberry contacts to EVO 4g if Black berry has no signal?

I'm trying to transfer my contacts to my new Evo 4g but I don't know how. The way I want is to use a usb cable to sync my blackberry contacts to my gmail and then use gmail on my evo to get my contacts. Can anyone explain to me how to do this? I can't find the instructions anywhere. If anyone can explain using outlook too that would also be helpful.
