How to protect a burn while at the beach?

I would hope that it would scab over before the vacation. Keep it out in the air for now. I would try to cover it in lose gauze and aloe vera when out as the suns heat would make it hurt more. Ouch I don't think the gauze will stick if it is scabbed over - if not just gently take it off when inside.
